Group Order
Introducing Group Order, a team-building game designed for groups of 5 or more. It uses assessments like the Big Five, DISC, and MBTI to help teams understand their dynamics. Participants learn about their own and each other’s personality traits and cultural views, promoting better communication and stronger relationships. Group Order offers a fun way to build a more cohesive and understanding team.
How to Play the Group Order
Line up based on various criteria (birth date, distance from home, etc.).
Group Order is an engaging and insightful team-building activity designed to break the ice quickly, foster networking, and promote mutual understanding among team members. This game involves your team lining up based on various criteria, but with a twist: it integrates behavioral, personality, and cultural assessments to deepen the experience. This added layer not only makes the game more intriguing but also provides valuable insights that can be leveraged for better team dynamics and collaboration.
Getting Started with Assessments
Before diving into the game, each participant will need to complete a series of assessments. These assessments might include personality tests like DiSC, or cultural competence evaluations. Make sure all participants have their assessment results ready before the game begins. These results will serve as the basis for the criteria used in the game, replacing more superficial attributes like birthdate or distance from home.
Lining Up Based on Assessment Criteria
Once everyone has their assessment results, the facilitator will choose different criteria for the team to line up by. For example, you might start with lining up based on extroversion versus introversion. Next, you could have the team line up according to their dominant DiSC behavioral style or their cultural competence score. Each round offers a new perspective, allowing team members to see where they stand in relation to their peers across different dimensions.

Use Team Building Assessments for the Group Order game
Team building assessments offer transformative value to the Group Order game by fostering a deeper understanding of individual and team dynamics. One such tool is the Free Strengthsfinder Assessment, which identifies each team member's unique strengths. By highlighting these strengths, teams can capitalize on their collective skills and create a more balanced and efficient working environment. This assessment helps individuals recognize their potential and understand how they can best contribute to the team's success.
The Quadrants of Conformism assessment provides insights into how team members conform to social and organizational norms. Understanding these tendencies can help the team identify who is more likely to challenge the status quo and who prefers to follow established guidelines. This knowledge is crucial for fostering an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and innovation can thrive. Team leaders can use this information to strategically assign roles that align with each member’s natural inclinations.
The Growth Mindset assessment measures an individual's willingness to embrace challenges and learn from failures. A team that collectively holds a growth mindset is more adaptable and resilient in the face of obstacles. By identifying those with a growth mindset, the Group Order game can promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This fosters a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving, benefiting the entire team.
Cognitive Styles Test sheds light on how team members process information and make decisions. Recognizing these cognitive styles enables teams to leverage diverse thinking patterns, improving problem-solving and decision-making processes. By understanding each other's cognitive preferences, team members can communicate more effectively and collaborate more seamlessly, eliminating misunderstandings and enhancing productivity.
Values Assessment uncovers the core principles that drive each team member's behavior. Aligning these values with the team's goals ensures that everyone is working towards a common vision. This assessment helps build a cohesive team culture where mutual respect and shared objectives are prioritized. When team members appreciate and respect each other's values, it leads to stronger, more empathetic relationships and a more harmonious working environment.
